Theme: THE NEW ASIAN INTEGRATION

The third Fireside retreat will take place in Hong Kong, the home of Fireside chapter for the Greater China. As a cosmopolitan city with foreign residents from many different nations and ethnic backgrounds, Hong Kong is the perfect place to discuss the age of Asia going global. New members will be introduced at this retreat including those from other countries who have made Asia their home. What opportunities and cultural aspects attract young leaders to Asia? What are the pros and cons of the Asian culture? Participants will share their experiences of the Asian life.

Program

Chinese members will be joining the Fireside retreat for the first time in Hong Kong. “What’s On Your Mind?” will continue at the Hong Kong retreat with a focus on unexpected turns in life and recovering from mistakes. Weather permitting, members will also explore less known parts of Hong Kong – hiking through the mountains and challenging our sensory perceptions in Dialogue in the Dark, a social project that allows participants to experience life as visually impaired. We will also divide up into teams to unleash our competitive spirit for the first Fireside sports event – BOWLING. A weekend with friends in Hong Kong will be incomplete without a great lineup of restaurant experiences including a boat trip to Lama Island for seafood.
